Joe Schmidbauer has been working on cars since he was 12 years old. In high school, Joe knew he wanted to make cars his career so decided to go to a tech school. He decided to go to whichever school looked best to him. That was UTI.
“Financial aid was really helpful. They were always helping me with any questions I had. They were always trying to help me get whatever I needed done, done. If I ever had a question they were there.”
Joe went to UTI full time and drove an hour each way to get to his job at Anderson Toyota, where he worked 6 hours a day. When he graduated, Joe was hoping to work full time at Anderson Toyota, and his dream came true. He believes that UTI on the resume helped him get the job. “If I didn’t go to UTI, I probably wouldn’t have gotten the job.”
“I love my job. I heard a statistic that 80 some percent of people don’t like going to their job. But every morning when I have to go to work, you know I don’t dread it, I look forward to it. It’s just a lot of fun to go to work every day.”
