Porsche Technician Apprenticeship Program (PTAP)

Porsche has a reputation for designing and developing some of the world's most sought-after sports cars. In order to maintain this position in the industry and meet the high demand for qualified technicians, Porsche Cars North America, Inc. has joined forces with Universal Technical Institute (UTI) to create the exclusive Porsche Technology Apprenticeship Program (PTAP).

Porsche's service technicians must be able to demonstrate a high level of skill and expertise in many areas. Students of PTAP receive the latest bumper-to-bumper factory training and technical bulletins in addition to training on Porsche diagnostic equipment and specialty tools. The program's curriculum is developed by Porsche, with training heavily weighted in electronics and diagnostics. Training is conducted on new Porsche models, including the Boxster lineup, Carrera Coupe, Carrera Convertible and the 911 Twin Turbo. Upon completion of the program, students will be qualified as a Porsche Service Technician and be eligible to work at an authorized Porsche dealership in North America.

Tuition Paid By Porsche*
Tuition for PTAP is paid by Porsche Cars North America, Inc. and the hiring Porsche dealer, provided the technician remains employed at an Authorized Porsche dealer for a minimum of one year (individual dealers may require longer employment agreements).

If you are serious about a career as an automotive technician for a world-class automaker, you couldn't find a better place to start than PTAP.
